Lighting in horror films.

Lighting in horror films- Typically they are often set in dark isolated places.
- Dark shadows.
- Dark corners, forbidden places and alleys.
- Also the weather often reflects the films mood i.e. thunder & lightening this is known as "Pathetic Fallacy".
- Lack of lighting in a scene to add to the tension and suspense.
- There may be added light to emphasise something more i.e. a killer's face/mask.
