Development of my film poster

  For my film poster I began researching into horror film posters such as the original Exorcist film and psycho 2 by looking them up on Google images. I looked at there characteristics such as dark background's or dark backlights, which are then in direct contrast of the other colours on the poster which really stand out, these colours need to be more outstanding so that the audience notices it, often re-occurring colours are red and white.
  Also on these posters you will often find a tag line for the film, on the poster for the film Jennifer’s body the tag line says ‘She’s evil... and not just high school evil’ I believe the use of a tag line on a poster is an essential way to take a firm grasp of the audience’s attention, on my poster I have came up with my own ideas of a tagline ‘Just don’t look back’ I came up with this by thinking of re-occurring themes in horror movie’s, like when the victim looks back they do it as they feel something is wrong making them very vulnerable.
