Shot: Stalker walking behind Damian.
- The thinking about this scene began from my own knowledge of horror films, I enjoy the genre so I watch quite a lot of films, and I like the suspense that is built up within each scene, so I thought that including a shot of the watcher walking closely behind Damian. I chose the long pathway in a park as I feel long strips of land filmed upon creates a sense of loneliness and separation from any other people, i.e. in the need of help or unheard screams... the perfect location for a typical horror film, I think the frosty background and snow on the floor adds to the atmosphere in a positive way giving a more natural setting for a scene in my film trailer. The shot is so simple but effective as Damian is totally unaware of the watcher behind him so he could easily turn round but doesn’t, this raises the level of suspense as it leaves the audience wondering what the watcher is after as he isn’t doing anything other than stalking Damian. Closely following Damian, the eerie scene helps to continue the trailers suspense building up unto the end.
